ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Julaine Smith is a Certified Public Accountant who reached the top of her corporate finance profession as Vice-President of Finance and Division Chief Financial Officer at AT&T Broadband. In 2006, after taking a five-year sabbatical from her corporate finance career in order to focus on raising her son, Smith founded ARISE Solutions, LLC. Smith also founded Eternal Wealth Publications which recently published her first book, Make Your Money Last Forever: How to Maximize Your Potential for Creating Eternal Wealth.

Smith is a co-host of the weekly radio program “Money Talk & More,” on AM 970 WSTX, which is broadcast in the U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands and Eastern Caribbean. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Society for Training and Development.

During her 16-year corporate finance career, Smith held leadership positions in financial management primarily in the telecommunications and cable industries. As VP of Finance and Division Chief Financial Officer for AT&T Broadband’s Washington market, she led the financial operations for a 1.5 million-customer region. She has also served as: Operations Controller for InterMedia Management, Inc., a former multiple-system cable operator headquartered in San Francisco, CA; Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting for Pacific Telesis Group, the former Regional Bell Operating Company.

During her corporate finance career, Smith managed numerous mergers and acquisitions and helped raise $700 million in an initial public offering. She is also the former Chief Financial Officer of The City Church, Kirkland, WA. Smith received her Certified Public Accountant license in 1991. She completed her public accounting experience at Price Waterhouse and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration–Accounting from California State University Hayward. She is married to Terence and they have one son, Jonathan. The Smith’s reside in Bellevue, Washington.
